National Association for Business Economics members say that the housing disaster and credit problems "might" get better this year. The economic downturn and job losses could go on much longer.

According to the AP "A growing number of economists believe the country is on the brink of a recession or in one already, dragged down by all the problems in housing, credit and financial markets."

They must not get out into the real world very often.
